A break in the road takes players to The Slaughtered Goat, another area crawling with Infected patrolling all sections within it. The Slaughtered Goat Cellar Key is required, unlike the other two keys present in the Coast Cliffside. A guard inside can be dealt with to grab some extra loot while players deal with the Infected within. Players may choose to deal with these guards however they want, a stark contrast to the critiqued Chaos system in Dishonored, another stealth title. Out of the two Infected guards patrolling the aforementioned Desolated House, one of them is holding the Coast Desolated House Key, using it to access a small room on the building's upper floor. With names hinting at their function, the three keys available in the Coast Cliffside section of Gloomwood are the Coast Desolated House Key, Slaughtered Goat Cellar Key, and Cliff Wall Padlock Key. Each key in the Coast Cliffside makes the overall section easier, either opening up small additional spots for extra loot or being mandatory to beat the level entirely.
So, players should be careful approaching the Desolated House to collect all the keys in the level. The Infected of Gloomwood can detect The Doctor through even the most subtle changes to sound and light, and unlike the Metal Gear Solid games, the Doctor is not as well-equipped to deal with many foes at once. The Slaughtered Goat may be unfinished in this beta, and the Lighthouse may only serve as a Break Room with a Phonograph players use to save progress. The Desolated House, near the cliff's edge path that players find themselves close to after exiting the caves, has a plethora of Infected. Unlike fellow gothic atmospheric games like Bloodborne, with bosses in each area, Gloomwood only needs a small handful of enemies to feel dangerous. As the final playable level in the early access of Gloomwood at the moment, the Coast Cliffside features a Lighthouse, The Slaughtered Goat, and a Desolated House as visitable sections of the level.
